Chamber Welcomes Macon New Friends
Macon New Friends was welcomed by members of the Franklin Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors during a recent ceremony at the Chamber offices. The new business is owned by David and Rachel Marshall.
"Basically our business is a welcoming service for new residents to Macon County," said Rachel Marshall. "They (new residents) will receive a welcome basket full of merchandise, coupons and discounts from Macon County merchants at their real estate closing."
Macon New Friends is an innovative way for area merchants to market their goods and services to new residents. Soon, a new web site will be available which in addition to promoting Macon New Friends will also highlight those businesses whose products are included in the welcome baskets.
